Never overwork yourself.
University has been a bummer for me. I try too hard for the about-average results that I achieve, while I am performing well, I am not getting my best grades even when I am trying my best.
Several assignments and exams for the semester really burned out any passion to write or have free time to spend. I ended up ordering takeaway fried chicken and staying at home working most weeks. My place turned into a dump, with a bin bag stacking up in my bedroom and a giant lump of facial hair growing on my face, I felt embarrassed for the situation I put myself in.
Now those assignments are finished, I now need to make sure I never go through that again. Heres what I did:
- I study a second course. Computers can be too much for me, I sit on them all day, for work and for uni and I need to do something else in the past time. I now study Chinese Language on days I have free time.
- I stop worrying about homework. Doing them very slowly but stretched over a long period of time helps instead of mashing it all at once.
- Sleep better. Sleep longer. Sleep earlier. I used to skip breakfast and stay up late to the sunrise, and waking up with the perfect sleep in the morning will make your days feel longer.
Hopefully this short will get me back to writing again…
